Nebraska's labor climate is enhanced by favorable management/labor relations and a right-to-work provision in the Nebraska Constitution.

 Women in the Labor Force
Historically, patterns of participation in the paid labor force have varied dramatically by marital status as well as by ethnicity and nativity.
Meanwhile, the steady growth of the two-wage-earner family created a form of women's work some analysts called "the second shift": Even as they engaged in paid labor, married women still performed most of the unpaid family labor.
These reforms sought to preserve households in an industrializing society, rather than arising from an impulse toward equal labor rights for women.

The news Friday came as the Labor Department reported firms added a seasonally adjusted 146,000 jobs in January.
