Much of my research over the past few years examines relationships between technological and organizational change in the trucking industry.
The latest paper is entitled "Learning About the Nature of Production from Equilibrium Assignment Patterns." The idea comes from Lucas (1977) and Rosen (1982): the organization of production and the distribution of earnings are jointly determined by equilibrium assignment of individuals to firms and each other.
Another part of my research concerns how the extent to which consumers are informed about product quality affects equilibrium price and quality in imperfectly competitive markets.
