Gallup asked respondents to rank "which one of the following issues will be most important to you when you vote for Congress next November: the economy, education, making sure large corporations act responsibly, prescription drugs for older Americans, Social Security, terrorism, or the stock market?" This is what the respondents said:
The problem for Democrats was that just seven percent of those polled chose corporate responsibility as the issue that is most important to them.

In Gallup polling, there have been very few cases where the likely dims outperforming the registered dims (dims are more likely to skip the polls on election day).

The Gallup polling reported yesterday found that even though Democrats originated the proposal for a permanent homeland security department and President Bush initially opposed the concept, he was later successful in convincing a majority of Americans that it was a White House idea.
Only 13 percent of Americans polled by the Gallup Organization say they have confidence that the new department will make them "a lot" safer.
While some critics have suggested that the department would offer Americans a false sense of security, the Gallup pollsters found no such delusion so far.

You apparently can't get the poll's internal numbers without subscribing to Gallup's service, which we don't do, but those data will come out soon, and when they do, I'm pretty sure they'll show a screwy sample.
The final Gallup poll had Bush winning by 2 points.
UPDATE: Just for fun, I went back and checked Gallup's trend line for the 2000 election.
