Demography may be defined briefly as the study of human populations in relation to the changes in their sizes, structures and spatial distributions as a result of the interplay of the three demographic processes; Fertility (births), Mortality (deaths) and Migration (population movements).
Demography as a scientific study of human populations uses a variety of analytical techniques to turn raw data collected in population censuses, vital registration systems and surveys into more precise measures.

Researchers and practitioners in the fields of demography and population studies in South Africa thus have a special obligation to inform the rest of the region and the world of accurate information emerging during the years after the country’s democratic transformation.
The Journal provides the opportunity to researchers and practitioners in demography, population studies and related areas to publish their work for the benefit of their colleagues in these fields.
The prompt publication of Volume 7 should serve as a motivator to all researchers and others who have the interest of the development of demography and population studies at heart.

Talk:Medieval demography - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
To discuss the demography of Europe outside of the context of the demography of the Middle East, the Muslim Empires, and Eurasia in general makes little sense to me, particularly since demography is a macrolevel look and the locus of civilization was elsewhere during that time period.
This is not "medieval demography" but the medieval demography of Europe.
Anyway, also see Medieval technology, certainly the individual articles on the technologies could discuss their contributions to increased populations.
